Wales Climate Week 2025

Since declaring a climate emergency in 2019, the Senedd has set out a path for Wales to become a global leader in tackling the climate crisis – aiming to reach net zero by 2050 and committing to bold interim milestones, including a 63% reduction in emissions by 2030.

To support this, we were appointed by Welsh Government to oversee the strategic planning and delivery of Wythnos Hinsawdd Cymru | Wales Climate Week’s virtual conference - to explore how can we turn climate ambition into real, practical action.

Within three months, we curated a multi-layered programme, provided end-to-end event management and implemented communications activity to drive inclusive stakeholder and public engagement across sectors where Wales has the devolved powers to lead change: housing, transport agriculture and land-use.

Tactics:

  • Event design and programme development – we introduced a bold new content format for Wales Climate Week, replacing a webinar-heavy schedule with a curated editorial approach designed to increase engagement and create long-term value.

  • Content production – from pre-produced video podcasts to a high impact scene-setting film that brought together leading experts, we created content strategically designed for reuse across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

  • Platform build and design – we hosted the event from an immersive digital platform, which integrated multiple interactive features – from virtual exhibitor booths to live polls. This enhanced accessibility and increased audience engagement throughout the event whilst providing us with real-time analytics.

  • Event management and operations – we managed the full operational workflow for the virtual conference, including project planning, speaker liaison, technical run-throughs, RSVP management, budget oversight and compliance. Our team coordinated session logistics end-to-end to ensure a smooth delivery across all three days, with dedicated technical support and live event moderation.

  • Programme promotion – to drive awareness and attendance, we delivered a multi-channel, bilingual communications campaign strategically aligned with Climate Action Wales’ platforms. This ensured cohesive messaging, widened campaign reach and maximised stakeholder engagement.
