Action Wales

Fly-tipping Action Wales commissioned Equinox to deliver a national Wales bilingual communications campaign for the tenth year running, tailored to local needs that provided a clear and consistent message around the issue of fly-tipping in Wales and the call to tackle it together through sustainable behavioural change.

Tactics

Through a hard-hitting approach, we developed the overarching identity, ‘No More Rubbish Excuses’, to unite all individual tactics together across all campaign collateral, including:
 

  • Development of a digital toolkit including downloadable themed posters, social media graphics + posts and videos for Fly-tipping Action Wales’ 50 partner organisations
     

  • 10 x seasonal press releases to position FtAW as thought leader at key times of year: National Walking Month, Volunteers Week, National Parks Week, Spring Clean Week
     

  • Rolling schedule of engaging bilingual social media + digital content across 12 months

    Results

  • 45 pieces of Wales coverage (print, broadcast and online), plus 3 minutes national TV

 

  • 428 partners engaged through digital toolkit (nearly doubling industry standard open + click rates)

 

  • 6 million opportunities to see / hear about campaign through media

 

  • 78% engagement increase and 49% increase in reach on Facebook vs previous 12 months

 

  • 19% increase in Facebook page followers and 12% increase in Twitter followers in 12 months
